Supporting SUMIDA's New Manufacturing Base in Vietnam
SUMIDA ELECTRONIC VIETNAM CO., LTD. was established in 2010 as a Vietnam-based subsidiary of Sumida Corporation. Sumida Corporation operates production and sales bases across Japan, ASEAN, Europe and the Americas, supplying coil-related components and module products for automotive, home appliance and industrial machinery applications.
The project involved the construction of a new manufacturing factory in Vietnam to expand SUMIDA's production capacity and support the growing automotive applications market in ASEAN.
Plus PM Vietnam provided Construction Management / Construction Supervision services during the construction stage, acting as the Client's representative on site to protect quality, cost and schedule throughout execution.

Key Project Challenges
Various issues arose during project execution. Plus PM Vietnam worked closely with the Client to address each issue in a timely manner while confirming and aligning solutions with the Client's requirements.
Construction-Stage Issue Resolution
Project issues were reviewed together with the Client and resolved progressively based on the Client's requirements and project priorities, keeping the construction programme moving without compromising quality.
Coordination Between Client and Contractor
Plus PM Vietnam maintained continuous coordination between the Client and T.L.K Holdings Company across design, procurement and site execution, so decisions were confirmed quickly and did not stall progress on site.

The new factory expands SUMIDA's production capacity and strengthens its stable supply system for the increasing demand for automotive applications-related products across ASEAN.
The facility is also expected to support SUMIDA's continued growth and contribute to sustainable development in Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.
